  • Breast Cancer Awareness Month - October

    Every year, the men of Alpha Gamma Rho select one football game in October as their 'Pink Out' game. This year the Pink Out will occur on October 15th. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the men sell pink t-shirts to all fans before the game the starts, with proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. As breast cancer has had an effect on everyone, t-shirts are sold to the fans of both teams. 

     

    This year, 2011, the men of Gamma Beta Chapter raised and donated $2100 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. It is our hope and goal to continually out-raise ourselves from years past.

  • Jana's Campaign

    In cooperation with FHSU Greek Life, Alpha Gamma Rho also donates time and money each year to Jana's Campaign, a campaign against Domestic Violence. Our values and beliefs state that men should be gentlemen at all times and always treat women with proper respect. As such, we find Jana's Campaign to be very deserving of our time and effort, and we look to continue our support for as long as it takes to stop Domestic Violence. To remind ourselves of our pledge agaisnt Domestic Violence, all men of FHSU Greek Life participate in 'Walk-A-Mile In Her Shoes.' Each year, all fraternity men strap on various types of high-heeled footwear and make the mile long trek around the campus of Fort Hays State.

  • I-70 Highway Clean-Up

    Each semester, the men of Alpha Gamma Rho grab trash bags and orange road vests in anticipation of their bi-annual clean-up of Interstate 70. Their stretch of highway, east of Exit 159 to Exit 161, is a rather trash-filled section of road. However, with one crew working east and the other crew workin west, these men have the highway lookin beautiful again in no time.
